Thin Down Thursday: Week 5
Hello again! Another week has flown by and I am here sharing my weight loss journey with you.
This journey is more for me than anyone. I need to be at a healthier weight and to make better food choices for myself and my family. You can check out my goals, reasons and more here and here.
So how was this week??? It was terrible!!! It started last Friday afternoon/evening when I developed stomach pains that continued until yesterday. I haven't had any today (praying). I have eliminate coffee for the next few days to see if that helps because I noticed a pattern of the pains beginning within 30 minutes to an hour of drinking coffee. Umm...just noticed another pattern...no coffee for 2 days and Wyatt was late for school both days...coincidence?? I think not!! So anywho I have been off my game. I have gotten in a few workouts, tried to start a squat challenge, but failed miserably at tracking this week. So if you are friends with me on My Fitness Pal...don't worry I'm still here!
My calorie consumption has been hit or miss...somedays I exceed my limits and other days I am well below. I am hoping to wipe the slate clean and start new this week!
Let's revisit my goals for last week:
exercising every morning before work,
creating a motivation board (check my Fitness Board on Pinterest)
and making better food choices consistently.
In short~didn't happen, I didn't meet any of them :(
What about my original goals?
1. Exercise 3-4 days a week
2. Make better food choices at each meal
3. Complete a 5K
3. Complete a 5K
Weight Loss
in 4 weeks lose 5 lbs (2/6/14)
in 4 weeks lose 5 lbs (2/6/14)
I am making progress towards reaching my original goals. I have been getting in at least 3~ 30 minute workouts each week. I am much more aware of what I am eating and how much (expect where Mexican food is concerned, LOL). And I have started "training" to run a 5k...basically the boys and I have started walking about 2.5- 3 miles each weekend. Hopefully we will be able to walk/run more soon as the days length. In the weight loss area I am 1 lb shy of making my goal for this 4 weeks. But I am still making progress so YAY!!!
Goals for next week:
1) 30 minute Yoga/Strength training workout 6 out of the next 7 at 5 a.m.
2) 30 minutes of cardio 5 out of the next 7 days
3) Finish days 2-9 in the 30 day squat challenge (I've restarted 3 times!).
3) Track EVERYTHING I eat...(yes even that handful of chocolate chips).
4) Finally create my motivation board!!!
I guess by now you may be wondering how I fared this week...not terrible actually. I lost 1/2 inch in my bust, a whole inch in my hips, and down another pound for a total of 4 pounds. I think if I really stick to it I can meet my 8 week goal without a problem. Are you on a fitness/weight loss journey as well?? Please feel free to share any tips you have in the comments section!!
Until next time~
Caci
