I have complied talking points and articles on many issues facing agriculture today.
I have notebooks and file folders stacked up all over the place with information scattered throughout them. So "AG" vocates how to you gather your information? Do you store it all in your head? Do you have a system? Or do you pile like I do?

It's been a while
So it has been a while since I posted.
I have been super busy lately with work, volunteer jobs and the farm.
So I thought I would catch you up on my happenings !
We have been baling & loading hay and straw on and off over the last few weeks.
Setting up for our county livestock show...we don't have a county fair.
More setting up
Finalizing details
Trying to catch a break when we can
Organizing show workers
and finally actually showing...goats on Friday night
getting lots of hugs
passing out ribbons
have showmanship showdowns
crowning champions (Sheep on Saturday)
working hard at showing off our stock (Beef-Saturday)
crafting
some really cute cows
enjoying the cooler weather...well some of us are
picking apples
an overall just spending time as a family.
I am happy to report that my youngest sister (she's really my sister in law but anyways)
won both the sheep and the dairy senior showmanship classes at our
annual livestock show which means she
earned $500 in college scholarships!
We have also been taking in 4-H ewes to breed for our
local kids that raise show lambs.
Having a photo shoot for CommonGround
Homecoming at church
and maintaining our fall garden...
so all in all its been a busy September.

Psss..did you know I sew!
I am a farm wife that stays extremely busy.
Washing dishes, clothes, cleaning house
Feeding livestock, tending the garden, chasing a 3 year old
working full time, volunteering & being a sales rep for 2 separate companies...
needless to say free time is at a premium!
But I love to sew & bake
lately I haven't done much of either
so my goal for the week is to reorganize my crafting space
get my fabric stash just right
and begin sewing again
dresses, pants, skirts, and Christmas gifts!
oh do I love to sew.
Here are a few items I have created in the past:
Owlies...gifts for Wy & my niece Ashley
Burp clothes for sweet baby Clara
Super simple dresses
Recycled T-shirt dresses
Dishcloths for Christmas Gifts
Headbands
Zippered pouches
Clothespin apron
Nice wash cloths...if you want to understand read this
I love to sew...so this week while the rain pours down I will sew and possible knit
